Podcast Season 1, Episode 11 Guest: Alex Stratilatov, Partner, Lansing Legal Group PLLC

Alex Stratilatov is a graduate of the Michigan State University College of Law, as well as the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. Bilingual in both English and Russian, Alex is partner at Lansing Legal Group PLLC, where he practices in the focuses of Business and Contract Law, Mediation, and Real Estate. He also focuses on New Business Development. When he’s not helping entrepreneurs navigate their legal needs, he spends time with his wife and two dogs. He’s a practicing musician and enjoys books about sci-fi and fantasy.

I had the opportunity to sit down with Alex on a recent episode of W.I.N. and dive into how he and his team at Lansing Legal Group use a customer-first focus to create differentiation, achieve growth targets, and identify opportunities in underserved markets to keep forward momentum going. I took copious notes and wanted to share those thoughts with you today.

  1. Customer First Focus: Alex and his team have a “Customer first” policy at LLG. Even if it means they turn down revenue, they focus on the customer’s needs above all else, which has paid back in spades in terms of opportunity and growth.
  2. Growth Targets: Setting and achieving growth targets are a big thing for Alex and his team. By making sure they recognize and celebrate progress, they’ve kept everyone engaged in the company and on board with their vision.
  3. Customer Feedback Can Identify Opportunities: Asking their clients for referrals and around areas of concern has helped Alex identify new potential avenues for market leadership and growth. Asking around areas of concern helps identify potential targets for focus.

I gain so much value from meeting with fellow entrepreneurs and leaders. Each and every person I speak with brings their own experiences, knowledge, and viewpoints to the table, and without fail, I walk away with a head full of ideas and motivation to do better in my own business. I so greatly appreciate Alex’s willingness to come onto W.I.N. and share his story.
